“Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes, and cooking.
It’s about harnessing imagination, empowerment, and creativity.” – Guy Fieri
In Term 2 Kindergarten planted cauliflower, cabbage, snowpeas, lettuce, carrots, sliverbeet and broccoli.
In Term 3 kindergarten classes collected eggs from the chickens and went up to the kitchen and measured, sifted, whisked, combined, fried and tasted Zucchini and Carrot Fritters and Tzatziki!
Teachers demonstrated the Tzatziki
recipe and then children made fritters for two.
To ensure that harvesting and cooking could happen in Term 4, planting was done for Kindergarten during lockdown.
