This year Stage 1 classes planted carrots, zucchini, cucumber, lettuce, eggplant and tomatoes and then cooked Vegetable Lasagne with a side salad.

Year 1 and 2 planted their gardens in late Term 3 and although there were a couple of weeks of solid rain, they enjoyed quite a good harvest.
Year 1 used their cabbage and carrots to make a cole slaw to go with their savoury muffins.
Year 2 chopped up capsicum and carrots to dip into homemade tzatziki and practised their dough-making skills creating flat breads and Gozlemes!

2B finishing off the planning, planting, maintaining, harvesting and cooking process with a nice yummy dish (and a big clean up!)

2B stopped by the gardens and picked cucumbers before heading into the 'kitchen' to make Tzatziki and flatbread.
There was a lot of measuring, chopping, kneading, rolling, frying and eating!
"I can smell the dill!"
"It tastes fresh!"

Corn and Zucchinni Fritters and Tzatziki
The rain didn't stop 2M from picking corn, cucumber, red capsicum and parsley from the gardens.
And our chickens donated 5 fresh eggs!

2M also did a vegan option for both recipes. The Tzatziki made with coconut yogurt was preferred by most in the taste test! A sweet vs sour discussion took place.
